I am a local artist born in Beverley and now living in Leeds. I studied Graphic Arts and Design from Leeds Beckett University and have worked throughout the northwest, whilst living in Leeds, Manchester, Hull and Liverpool.

I enjoy discovering new places and seeking out new experiences, especially if there is cake on offer. I love bright, sharp and colourful images taking my inspiration from the buildings and landscapes of Yorkshire.

I create my work by building up the images digitally with thousands of individual blocks of colour much like collage. The style is known as flat design, famous for minimalistic and concise use of visual expressive means.

Nowadays the term is widely used as the opposite of rich design due to harmonic simplicity taken as the basis of this design approach. The most prominent feature of this style, that actually inspired the name, is applying a flat 2-dimensional visual look to the work.

I welcome commissions for your own house to be created in this flat graphic style.

Do you provide International delivery?

Currently I only offer standard delivery within the UK. If you do require international delivery then please get in touch and I will come back to you with possible delivery options.

Can I return an item?

If for any reason you are unhappy with your print you may return your item for a full refund. You will be required to pay the return postage costs. I cannot offer refunds on commissions one the order has been placed and the proof approved.

Where can I see your artwork?

Please check out my latest news section to see where my work is on display. I'm am always up for a discussing about hanging my work in galleries, cafes and shops around Leeds and will continue to update my website. If you would be interested in stocking any of my work please send me a message to discuss terms.

Can I have a print in a different size?

You certainly can! I produce my prints in the size I feel they are best displayed but if you would like a print in another size then get in touch and I will see what is possible and let you know a price.

Do you offer different colour ways?

Some of my designs can be altered to match your specific requirements. Simple colour alterations such as changing the main background colour of a print start from as little as £10

Can I commission a work?

Prices for commissions start at around £150.00 depending on the complexity of the design. It is really very quite simple to commission a design. I will be happy to discuss all your requirements and answer all the questions you may have without any obligation. You will be supplied with details of the cost we can then discuss how this can work with your budget. I also offer wedding invitation design which can be seen further down this page. What information is collected?

I receive, collect and store information you enter onto my website or provide me with in any other way. In addition, I collect the Internet protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet. This web pageuse software tools to measure and collect session information, including page response times, length of visits to certain pages, page interaction information, and methods used to browse away from the page. I do this only so I can make improvements to my website. I only collect personally identifiable information (including name, email, and address) when an order is placed so I am able to arrange delivery. Payment details (including credit card information), is not collected and not stored.

How do I collect information?

When you complete a transaction on my website, as part of the process, I collect personal information you give me such as your name, address and email address. Your personal information will be used only for the specific reasons stated above and in addition if your have requested to be kept in touch with updates from myself through your email address.

Why do I collect information?

I collect such Non-personal and Personal Information for the following purposes:

To provide and operate my services;
To provide you with ongoing customer assistance through placing your order.
To be able to contact my Visitors and Users with general or personalised service-related notices and promotional messages;
To create aggregated statistical data and other aggregated and/or inferred Non-personal Information, which I use to provide and improve our respective services.

How do I store, use, share and disclose my site visitors' personal information?

My company is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides me with the online platform that allows me to sell my products to you. Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall.

All direct payment gateways offered by Wix.com and used by my company adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by my store and its service providers. Currently I use Paypal to process all payments so I never have access to your personal accounting details.

How do I communicate with my customers?

I may contact you to notify you regarding your order, to resolve a dispute, to collect monies owed, to poll your opinions through surveys or questionnaires, to send updates about my company, or as otherwise necessary to contact you to enforce national laws, and any agreement I may have with you. For these purposes I will contact you via email only.

How do I use cookies and other tracking tools?

I do not use cookies to track on my page. WIX that I create the page through however may. Details of cookies used by WIX are listed below including the reason they collect their information. Third party's such as Google Analytics may also track visitors to the website for the purpose of of understanding where traffic comes to the site from.

How can you withdraw your consent?

If you don’t want me to process your data anymore or want anything deleting then please contact me at richardlocketdesign@gmail.com and I will be happy to do this.
